Effective 14 August 2026 · Last updated 14 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information Just On Table collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers our website at justontable.com and both of our mobile applications — Just On Table (for diners) and Just On Table Business (for restaurants).
Who we are. Just On Table (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by ResoftSolutions, registered at 9231 Long Point Rd, Houston, TX 77055, United States. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described in section 9, contact us at info@justontable.com.

Information we collect automatically
- Location. Precise or approximate location, used to find restaurants near you and calculate distances. See section 4.
- Device identifiers. A push notification token so we can send you order and booking updates, and an analytics identifier.
- Usage data. Which screens you open and which features you use, so we can understand what works and fix what doesn't.
- Camera access. Used only when you scan a QR code at a table or take a photo to upload. We do not access your camera at any other time.
- Photo library access. Used only to select an image you choose to upload.
We do not collect: your contacts, your calendar, your browsing activity on other apps or websites, or biometric data. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal information.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service — create and secure your account, show you restaurants, take your booking, process your order, and keep both sides updated on its status.
- To take payment — process card payments, apply promotions and cashback, maintain your wallet balance, and settle funds to restaurants.
- To communicate with you — order and booking notifications, account verification, password resets, and responses to your enquiries.
- To connect you with restaurants — pass the details a restaurant needs to fulfil your order, and enable direct messaging about it.
- To improve the service — understand which features are used, diagnose faults, and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations — tax, accounting and record-keeping requirements.
We rely on the performance of our contract with you for most processing, your consent for optional things such as precise location and push notifications, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform.
3. Who we share it with
Restaurants
When you place an order or make a booking, we share the information the restaurant needs to serve you: your name, the details of your order or reservation, your special requests, and — for delivery orders — your delivery address and phone number. Restaurants are independent businesses and are responsible for their own handling of that information.
Service providers
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Push notifications, real-time chat storage, presence, and usage analytics |
| Google Maps & Places | Maps, address search and autocomplete |
| Payment processor | Card authorisation and settlement |
| Hosting provider | Operating our servers and storing our database |
These providers may only use your information to perform services for us.
Other disclosures
We may disclose information if required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority; to investigate suspected fraud or a threat to anyone's safety; or to a successor entity in connection with a merger or acquisition. We do not rent or sell your personal information.
4. Location data
We use your location to show restaurants near you, sort results by distance, and place your position on the map. We request location access only while you are using the app, and only when you use a feature that needs it.
You can refuse or withdraw location access at any time in your device settings. The app will keep working — you will need to type where you are looking instead of having it detected.
5. Payments and wallet
Card payments are processed by our payment provider. [Confirm and state exactly what is stored: e.g. “We do not store your full card number; our payment provider handles and stores card details, and we retain only a token, the card type and the last four digits.”]
We keep a record of your orders and payments, your wallet balance, and any cashback you have earned or spent, because these are the accounting record of your account. Restaurants receive their payouts to the bank account they register with us; those bank details are used only for settlement.
6. Messages and reviews
Messages you exchange with a restaurant are stored so both sides can see the conversation history. They are visible to you and to staff at the restaurant you are messaging. We may access message content where necessary to investigate a report of abuse or to comply with law.
Reviews and ratings you submit are shown publicly alongside the restaurant, together with your display name and profile photo. Do not include personal information in a review that you do not want to be public.
7. Push notifications
We send notifications about your orders and bookings — accepted, ready, arriving — and when you receive a message. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time, though you will then need to open the app to see updates.
8. How long we keep it
- Account information — while your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
- Order, booking and payment records — retained as required by tax and accounting law, typically [state period, e.g. 7 years], even after you close your account.
- Messages — while the account is active; deleted or anonymised when the account is deleted.
- Location data — used at the time of your search and not retained as a location history.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate — most of it you can edit yourself in the app
- Delete your account and personal information (see section 10)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for location or notifications, at any time, in device settings
To exercise any of these, email info@justontable.com. We will respond within [30 days]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
10. Deleting your account
You can delete your account and the personal information associated with it in two ways:
- In the app — open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm.
- By request — email info@justontable.com from the address on your account.
Deleting your account removes your profile, saved addresses, profile photo and messages. We retain order, booking and payment records where we are legally required to, but they are dissociated from your profile. Any remaining wallet balance or unredeemed cashback is forfeited on deletion, so redeem it first.
11. Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls limiting who can reach production data, and authorisation checks on every request. Access to a chat conversation is verified on our servers and re-checked by the database on every read and write.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.
12. Children
Just On Table is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Our mobile apps do not use cookies; they use the device identifiers described in section 1.
14. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you use Just On Table from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from that of your own country.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes or the law requires. We will update the “last updated” date at the top, and for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Just On Table after a change means you accept the updated policy.
